need to know when you do a stacked cake like say a sheet cake and a square cake on top of that and then a 6 inch on top of that, do you just dowel them together or do you also put cake plates between them too?
You have to use something to support the top cake from sinking into the bottom cake! SO yes you would have to use a cake board or plate!
