Hi !
Someone gave me a crayola rainbow cookie kit and I pulled it out last night. (NOTE: I would never have bought this myself)
Anyway, it was great fun! The kids made their own cookies, and had a blast and mommy and daddy had fun too!
It would be super easy to DIY... just make your sugar cookie dough, separate it and color each ball a different color, then let your kids mold away!
We came out with flowers, ladybugs, a nuddie branch, fish, a bee, eggs and snakes. along with words and initials!
I find since I am a busy mommy of 4 little ones, and i do cake decorating, and I am in a time consuming position in church I never have the time to do anything "crafty" with my kids. They always just sit by and watch mommy. So this was so nice to be able to give them something that didn't include frosting and sprinkles.
If you want a night or day of fun this is the thing!!

Great idea! I had forgotten about something like this, will have to add it to my "things to do" list with nephews.

I have done something like this myself with a recipe I found. Except I did a short cut and bought the tube of sugar cookie dough. It was cute and fun.

i had done rainbows and rolled each color around each other, chilled log, then sliced into 1/4" cookies, then cut the circle in half for rainbows. Quick, fun , and easy.
