After applying MMF, Can I air dry them, Write on them with an edible marker and then bag them as favors for my sons party? If I bag them after a couple of days do they get moldy? I'm so excited to try making mmf, i hope it turns out ok. I've heared such great things about it from all of you. This is such a great site!!! thanks

are you talking about cookies?
If you are, then, yes you can airdry them, write on them and bag them and they shouldn't get moldy after a couple days...
it's a wonderful technique! definitely post photos when you're done icon_biggrin.gif

If you are talking about cookies, you can do all of that and they will be fine. I did them that way for Valentine's day.

Sorry, must not of specified. Yes on cookies. If you air dry them, does the MMF end up tasting soft or crunch ?

We use lots of MMF with royal accents on our cookies, we allow them to dry overnight then bag and tie up with ribbons for shipping. to date we've not had a single cookie damaged and they never seem to mold even when I saved some and forgot about them in my pantry ! go figure for we use no preservatives.

I read on another website that when you add a lot of sugar to icings, the sugar itself acts as a preservative as long as you are not adding un cooked dairy products.
