Nope... you have to use colours designed for your airbrush, or it will clog. Other types of colours haveone (or both!) of two problems...
1. the pigments are generally not ground as fine, so they are too big to pass though the airbrush properly = CLOGGING
2. thay can contain cellulose which also = CLOGGING!
You can buy airbrush colours from Kopykake, Americolor, or a few others. It's not worth the frustration to use non-airbrush colours (IMO anyhow!)
Do not dilute color paste to use as an airbrush color, paste contains, starch , gum and a host of other ingredients that will clog your AB.
We can tell you that AmeriMist Airbrush is specificially manufactured and engineered for cake decorating. You can even AB non-dairy whipped icing with out breaking it down...Try that with any other color 
If you attend a cake show you will notice that Instantwhip will only display AmeriMist color along the top of it's booth !
