Oooh, what a gorgeous cake! It would cost more than $200 here in Australia.

EDITED to add that it would probably go for closer to $350...because you have a handmade fairy on top too!

What a gorgeous looking cake!!!! I think you should charge $2/serving or thereabouts! Trouble is where I live, most people won't pay $$ for a child's cake..they don't want to pay more than they do at the grocery store.
I think where you live has a lot to do with how much money you can command for your cakes!

At any rate, it is very, very pretty and well done and you do deserve $$$ for that work!!

Are the 8 and 10 inch 2 layer? If they are then you would have roughly 50 to 60 servings. at $3.00 per serving for fondant you are talking about $150 to $180. Then you have to add about $50 or more for the fairy and decorations. That cake is awesome.

How long does it take you to make? What are your expenses? It's a gourgeous cake! My daughter would love it, but I'm afraid if I show it to her she'll want me to make her one! lol, not sure I could tackle that one!

A lot of decorators charge 3X their expenses, but I think anytime you have something that is unique and set apart from the standard you should charge a bit extra... I call this the creativity factor!

Let us know what you decide to charge! How much did you charge for this one?

Very beautiful cake. Love the fairy. I agree with Wendysue, the creativity factor should be added to the price.
Great concept wendysue.

Lovely cake and I agree at around $350. They are not buying cake...cake you get from a supermarket. They are buying edible art and everyone knows quality art costs!

BTW, what is the mushroom cap sitting on?

Libs did you create this cake? It is fantastic!

IMHO I'd say this serves about 76 at 1" slices and is $5.00 dollars a serving for a total of $380.

I am thinking it took about 6 hours to create - right? If not and it took you more than 6 hours, you should raise your price to 6 or 7 dollars a slice depending on how long it took you.

Remember this is a edible sculpture and not a cake.
