I wanted some mini cakes on my website for people to see. (so, because i was lazy) i only covered few small mini cakes and changed the decorations on top. then glued them to a kind of a picture for my website.
Only problem is that now every time i see it i feel like i cheated 
just please give me your very honest opinion when looking at this if they look that they are the same cake just with a difference on the decoration part.

I wouldn't have guessed. I would have thought that they were from the same batch, made for the same event or something. I don't think you were cheating. You COULD have made separate cakes for each of the designs, but why? If they were done just to demonstrate what you can do.

I went to your website to get the feel for the pic when I clicked on it there, and no - to me it doesn't look like you've cheated at all!
Your site is gorgeous! as are your cakes - anyone navigating through your site won't think you've cheated on anything once they get to the mini-cake page. I think that mini-cakes should all look the same anyway(not the toppers- just the cakes), makes it look professional!
You can always update it with new pics as you see fit - maybe make up some dummy mini-cakes with different fondant colors, so you can pop on figures, etc. as you make them and snap a photo (if only just to ease your mind).

I honestly dont think it's cheating.....the picture shows what a talent you have at all the beautiful little animals, and I think its those the customer will be looking at, and the picture as a whole looks lovely, far better on the eye than lots of different cakes that will detract from the cute animals, the customer can then choose what colour and design of mini cake they want when ordering.....I think you did a great job

Khufstetler, how nice if you could come here... i could give you a tour around here and show the best restaurants etc... ( i am not cypriot myself but i have to say i love it here... especially for the kids, no need for heavy winter clothes, beaches are so close by, and people are sooo very friendly too.)

No, that's not cheating, you still made the cake and the decoration, so you can do that many if someone needed you to. It's fine and you can't tell it's the same cake.

what is with all the guilt so many of us feel? Do you think that food stylsts for magazines are "cheating" when they spray droplets of gycerine on fruit to make it look freshly picked and dew-covered? or when they use mashed potato to double for ice cream (which would melt). You have the skills, you are showing what you can do. Stop the guilt!
