(I assumed that it's okay, but thought it would be smart to ask first):

A client wants pink cake, but not strawberry cake. Is it okay to put a bit of the Cake Craft icing coloring in the batter when mixing?

I do it all of the time except with the Wilton paste icing colours. I have done a blue and several pink cakes. Put the colouring in when mixing he cake. Jen

I think you add red food coloring in a Red Velvet cake so I assume it would be ok to add it in any other cake too. I may be wrong though.

I've had a champagne cake that is bright pink. You can add cake colors to any batter or dough, works great!

Had a bride who asked for this same thing. Pink cake but not strawberry or cherry. I just used those cheap little bottles of water-based food coloring that you find in the grocery store. Added it right to the batter.
