Does anyone remember how to bake cakes in a can. I have been asked to make 300 mini cakes and since I don't have very many pans, I thought that I could probably use the cans instead.
I'm in Dallas, Texas and was also wondering what others charge for mini cakes.
Thanks everyone !!
This has a little tutorial on baking in cans. HTH.

Sugarmama, i often bake in cans, not necessarily for miniature cakes as i've only ever made one, but to make smaller cakes, or cakes to go on top of others. I would assume your 300 cakes are round?? because i have been asked to make square ones and im just going to cut them out of a large square cake. To bake in cans i just grease the can and cover it with a couple of layer of baking/parchment paper.
All the best with your teeny cakes
cant wait to see them
what a big job!!!

If your cakes need to be round, could you bake them in a large square pan as Nati said, but cut them out with biscuit cutters or something similar? I have seen that done and it worked well. HTH!
