I have a question. I am working on my final cake for this class. We did not make the little trinket box in class. I have just made it here at home, but is there a way to get rid of the seam when making the side or do you just leave it? I think it would look so much better without the seam. Thank you all!

I have to go this weekend and sign up again.

My daughter had to go into labor the day my class was to start, go figure.

I'm guessing you mean where the ends of your strip come together. I'm not sure if there is a way or not. I guess you could try a little bit of royal icing. You can always put that part to the back of the cake or place a flower over it.

We did it tonight and the teacher did not show us a way to do it without a seam. I agree it would look better without a seam.

I'm signing up for the gumpaste/fondant class this week. What's the difference between this one and course 3?
