I want to make a wine bottle cake but I can't figure out what to use to make the top section. I know I can use round cakes cut in half for the bottom. If anyone can help that would be great.
Thank you.

I have done this many times with buttercream and airbrush (sorry, can't find my pictures). I always use the split cakes at the bottom and then cut out longer skinny sections for the neck. You will have to carve them into the correct shape. It works best to carve when frozen. Pre-ice it to get rid of the crumbs. Thaw completely before decorating.

the Bowling pin pan(s) work perfect for this. If this is what you are asking.

.. a plastic dowel can be used for the neck of the bottle!! You can squeeze foil around it to make it fatter and then cover with icing and smooth it out! Or it you don't need it thicker just cover it with icing!
