Winnie The Pooh Castle?! Help Me Please!
Decorating By sweetlybaked Updated 1 Mar 2007 , 12:44am by 29apr00
I have an order to do for this coming up Saturday (my first paid!!!), the customer wants a Winnie the Pooh castle. Huh?!
12x18 on bottom and round 8" on top. Turrets on corners of the sheet cake. Now, how do I turn it into a Pooh cake? She said to just use Pooh colors, but to me it's going to look so plain. I can't envision the whole castle being any other color but white, so the turret tops will be blue, how do I tie the yellow and red into it? It's for a boy, so I don't want to do too many flowers. I'm open for ANY suggestions.
Thank you so much in advance, I always get great help on this site!
Mollie
The cake board won't allow space for a drawbridge
The red flags are a good idea though! Thank you srod. Anyone else?
Hmm that is hard because I just dont see winnie the pooh and castle in the same cake. YOu know they are out in the hundred acre woods, right?? I see trees. Can you just do like a castle and then put some pooh characters around the base. Either color flow, chocolate transfers, or maybe some store bought figurines? I have a pooh cake in my gallery, but it definitely isnt castle like.
Hi I im not that experienced but I have had an Idea when I think of pooh colours and castell I think of that golden yellow, and a honey castle. I know not that good but it could be, Ive done a drawing quickly although I didnt colour it in but you get the jist of itt. The turrets could be be hives with honey running down, well fondant but it would look like honey, then add some bees and a few pooh characters and your done. whether or not you decide to use it please let me know how you got on. ignore the spelling mistakes im tired.
libs, that is so clever, I can't stand it! I hope my son still loves Winnie the Pooh around his birthday so I can do a cake like that! ![]()
Libs, I was thinking pretty much the same thing! Seriously! I asked DH if he thought that honey "dripping" down the turrets would look funny, at first he said no, then changed his mind and said they might not get it. So, I was trying to think of another way to tie in honey, and I thought of little bee hives at the top of the turrets, not the whole top like yours, but just little RI ones on the tip to attach the flags to. I might just reconsider and use your idea! Thank you so much!!

Exactly my thoughts! I think that they might have wanted it because the party that they were at, they saw my castle cake there. Maybe they just liked it, dunno
But hey, who am I to say, especially to my first paying customer!!! ![]()
