How Do I Air Spray A Cake?

I just got a mini compressor and air gun from my in-laws. Any tips for spraying a fondant cake? Do I have to buy special airspray coloring or can I use my paste colors watered down in vodka? Thanks!

You have to use airbrush coloring or you could clog up your air gun. They are on sale here at cc right now.
