I am trying to find a Kosher recipe for cake and frosting.
Please excuse my ignorance on this subject.
Also do you know if I have to prepare the cake and frosting in I believe this is the correct term Kosher pans and cooking utensils?
I am bringing this cake for a family that I know keeps kosher at home but they are not kosher when they go out to eat. So assuming this then they would need for this cake to be baked and prepaired kosher in order to keep their home kosher.
I believe kathik knows all about this- if you do a search on "kosher" in the forums you will find a lot of informative posts from her, and you may want to send her a PM. As far as my limited knowledge, I don't think you can prepare anything that would be considered Kosher unless you operate a kosher kitchen that is inspected and blessed by a Rabbi.
