I just got a brand new Oster Toaster Oven and it says you can bake, broils and cook pretty anything you do on your normal oven. It says that I can bake muffins, so I am thinking that maybe I might be able to bake a small cake.

If you have a similar toaster oven, have you ever baked a small cake in it? From scratch or box?

Thanks.

I've heard tha some people have even made cookies in it.

I have something similar, it's a rotisserie and tabletop oven. Works great! If I'm making small amounts of things, or small layers of a bigger cake, I'll use it. Bakes just as good as the regular oven. GREAT for the summertime, as it doesn't heat up the house.

We keep NFSC dough in the freezer, and the little oven is wonderful when we just want a cookie or two.

I HATE my toaster oven for baking, I can't even do cinnamon rolls in it. The tops get black and the rest is dough.
Hope yours is better

I have a toaster oven that is convection and I bake in it all the time! It works great and I can fit a 9" cake pan in it. I love it and actually bake bread in it all the time as well or bundt cakes and cheesecakes!
It does not cost as much to bake because you are heating up a smaller space as well as the convection option. It also comes in handy when the "normal" oven is in use!

i LOVE mine for smaller baking needs. when the kids want fresh hot cookies and we don't need to make a whole batch i just grab some dough out of the freezer (we always have frozen cookie and cake batter around) and make just a few for whatever snack we are having that evening. it's GREAT in the winter for making brownies too and top it off with a scoop of ice cream lol

whenever I have extra cake batter i put it in a zipper lock plastic bag and freeze, when we want to have a small snack i take out a bag and thaw out, mix either in the bag itself or pour into a bowl and mix then pour into cupcake tins. usually i'll make 4-6 cupcakes in my toaster oven. I run a home day care and the kids just love cupcakes, dh says they taste just like a fresh battered cake, i really can't tell a huge difference either but wouldn't sell a frozen batter to a customer.

Thank you for all the feedback, everyone!

I am going to try mine today! I will dinner and dessert!

The electricity now a days is so high, that this will be a money saver. I love baking desserts and food and I will give it lots of use. I can't fit a big pizza in it, but a small one yes.

Thanks again!
