For a chocholate ice cream cake, what type of frosting would be best to use? which would taste the best? if someone could please help me i want to make a cake for new years and its kind of almost here icon_sad.gif

I would use a choc. or white buttercream, but it reaaly depends on your taste what you think your guest would like, you could also use a cool whip icing to.

I would go with a whipped icing. Cool whip or something like that. Or just make it fresh!

I used to work at baskin robbins and we would frost our ice cream cakes with softened ice cream. Crumb coat with it and freeze until set. Then ice it and freeze. You have to work kind of fast, but it tastes wonderful!
