I have to do a cupcake tower with a 6" cake on top for a new store opening in March.

What cupcake stand do you use and/or recommend? I don't want it to take up too much room because table space will be limited somewhat. It does need to plenty of cupcakes but I can refill throughout the night as I will be there.

Has anyone tried the cardboard ones from www.cupcaketree.com? I have the Wilton tall tier stand and was just looking for another option.

TIA

I use the Wilton stands--have both sizes and they have been just fine for anything I've needed.

I bought one on Ebay last year and I love it. It holds 36 cupcakes I think. I also has a heart and a star that you can screw on to the top of it for decoration. I have had many complimements on it. I am sure if you searched for cupcake stand on Ebay you could find what you are looking for.

I am looking for one that will hold at least 75-100. I saw some acrylic ones on ebay from the UK that I would love, but I'm not sure that I want to spend $200+ on a cupcake stand at the moment.

I'm lucky enough to have a Tag Ltd outlet, so I picked up a cute swirly silver one for $10 a few months ago. It has flat levels, not cupcake holders, so I can use it for a ton of stuff.

The cardboard ones, while nice in a pinch, don't seem to have an elegance for a formal affair, nor do they have a lot of weight strength. If you're doing more than a couple of dozen cupcakes, my opinion is to skip the cardboard.
