You can either put it directly on the cake, or freeze it and put it on later. I have the scissor looking thingie that you "clip" the rose at the base then sit it on the cake and pull the scissors out from under it.

Am I making sense?

i put a dot of frosting on my nail, then a square of waxed paper (so it won't slip off). i make my rose on the waxed paper, then take it off the nail and put it in the freezer for a few minutes. then i can just peel the waxed paper off or use my small offset spatula and slide it between the paper and the flower, then place my roses. i hope this helps.

I like using the scissor thing, too. icon_smile.gif Makes it very easy. A spatula will work, too, though.

I use a regular pair of scissors since I closed my Wilton ones up in my tool box. icon_mad.gif

I freeze mine to because I tend to smash or drop them when I am trying to put them on a cake, except the cake I did this weekend, where I dropped the whole box of roses on the floor when I was bringing them up from the freezer. I am not the most graceful thing. icon_cry.gif
