So I'm makin' the Nick Lodge gumpaste recipe that I always make.
Decided to make 1/2 batch. Thought I had to cut 3 eggs in half so
dicided to do it by weight. Yolks were separated, then I picked up the
recipe and realized I needed 2 eggs, not 1 1/2. (Full recipe called for
4 eggs) So how do you add an extra half of egg white? I didn't weigh the
dish before I added the eggs so didn't know how to compensate.
Start over. Two eggs. First one fine. Second one the yolk breaks and
mixes with the first egg.

bowl but knock it over, ALL OVER THE NICK LODGE RECIPE, big mess
everywhere!
Start over. FINALLY GOT EGGS IN THE BOWL. Used 11 or a 2 egg recipe.
OMG, sorry to laugh at you, but that is pretty hilarious.
Reminds me of when I worked at A&W drvie-in (California root beer stand) a guy from the census bureau across the street comes in and orders a to go order, he handed me the list made up by employees, burgers, fries, milkshakes, 11 orange soda's. I search all around for a container large enough to hold eleven soft drinks. I get the order all ready, total it and he says he thinks I overcharged him. I go over the list with him and read off eleven orange soda's, he takes the list back, looks at it and says "That's Two orange soda's and it's written in Roman numerals!"

Yea, it's funny now, but boy was I hot yesterday. Good thing I was home alone when it happened. (I think the dogs learned a few new swear words). LOL
They prolly just looked at eachother and said"walk away quietly and QUICKLY!!!!" My dogs would!
Sounds like something I would do. I was making homemade pizza the other night and for some reason thought that the recipe said 1 1/2 cups water and really it said 1/2 cup water. I had alot of pizza dough. Good thing I had an extra pizza dough bag.
