Morning fellow bakers!
I want to go ahead and buy my business name but something is just not flowing right with the name: The Whimsical Bakery
It could be just me...I'm not sure if I just need a tagline to make it flow better?
I want something with the word, Whimsical in it, since most of the cakes I do are fun, colorful and whimsy!
What do ya'll think?

hey Jelli
I do like it, however, I've just always liked the word Whimsical, I used the Everlasting Sweets for my fake cakes because they last FOREVER. hee hee
But for my bakery, it just doesn't fit what I'm picturing..know what I mean?

How about Whimsical Dreams, or Whimsical Tastes?

Or how about Whimsical Sweets, so you stay in lines with "Everlasting Sweets"

How bout The Whimsical Bake Shoppe?
Or keep The Whimsical Bakery, and just add a tagline? Maybe something with 2 words ex: Something and Something Cakes
Think fun, think colorful...

I actually liked The Whimsical Bakery to begin with. Like you said, maybe adding a tagline to the name:

The Whimsical Bakery: Artistic and Delectable Cakes

Me too. The delectable needed to be in there as does your Whimsical Bakery.........and of course "cakes and desserts".

I forgot to put "The" Whimsical Bakery: Delectable Cakes and Desserts.

It is just a really cool name all around! What part of the city will you be operating in? I am in Seabrook.

I'm in NW houston, off of 290 and the beltway. I'm not opening anytime soon, but if you stop planning, it won't happen!!! But I did want to go ahead and buy the name since it's good for 10 years, I'll have it opened way before that though.
I knew ya'll could help!

I just looked at your album and with the work you do you are sure to be a success as soon as you open the doors! Keep planning and never let your dream die!

You are waaaaaaaay across the other side of Houston from me but by the time I get over that way again maybe you will have your doors open for business. icon_smile.gifthumbs_up.gif

And just a great reminder...BACK UP all your cake photos on a disk!! My computer caught an awful virus, it completely destroyed our computer and we had to have the whole thing rebuilt. I lost ALLLLL my cake photos along with family photos and videos...
Thank you all again for your help!

I don't guess it matters, but there is a Whimsical Bakehouse by Kaye & Liv Hansen cookbook, but I think that was the name of their bakery too. Might be wrong.....

It is hard to come up with a name for your bakery or even a website. I'm working on names for my website myself.

Good luck!

thanks Four, yeah I thought about that name, it's not the name of their bakery, but their book. But I didn't want to get into any legal issues with a big wig publisher.
Okay, now, lets work on your name!
Whatcha thinking?

Did you ever come up with a tagline? Here is one I think is cute but is a little bit long.

Whimsical & Fun.... Sweet Treats For Anyone!

thanks Sonya, (it was strange typing your name, I spell mine: Sonja, never typed it with a Y before!)
I'll remember that, I know I'll need some cute wording on my website!
