It all started as a hobby last Summer well to be excat June 2006 when I took my first Wilton class I have made many cakes since but until my daughter's bday cake no one had ordered a cake now that they have I don't even know what to charge but i know how you feel....

That's wonderful!!! I remember how excited I was on my first cake order -- I was stunned that anyone would ask for a cake because at the time I just liked doing cakes!! But they offered me a hefty sum and subsequently ordered another cake!!! I gave them a discount and they gave me a big tip! Trust me, this will be all you think about until the big day -- congratulations!!! 
Congrats, Jen!! Just did my first ones last Friday and it was a major big adrenaline rush for me! Loved it!

subaru, Cindy - They want a 3D Lightning McQueen cake. I'm going to use the 3D cruiser pan and carve from there and use MMF on it. Wish me luck! I only charged $40. I calculated supplies around $20, so I know I'm giving it for a good price (too low probably), but I feel good about it since it is my first order. I told her I would/should probably charge more, but she is my first customer and I want LOTS of referals from her! 
Teekakes - great cakes - I love the border on the marine cake. I wish I could do nice borders like that. I can't seem to get the shell border at all!
