Cupcake cake shaped like a christmas tree maybe? That would only take one cake mix, with some cupcake liners and icing.

What about some choc dipped pretzels. That's a pretty cheap snack.

Good idea too justcakn! Some white almond bark, a bag of pretzels and you're done!

or what about peppermint bark?

just melt the white almond bark, mix in some crushed candy canes, pour and cool in a jellyroll pan or cookie sheet (don't let it run over the edges)
crack into pieces, wrap it in some pretty cello, tie with curly ribbon.

wah lah!

I found this super quick and easy recipe in a Better Homes & Gardens Christmas cookie magazine.

(1) 18 oz. roll of refrigerated peanut butter cookie dough
(1) bag Hershey's kisses
(4icon_cool.gif Mini-cupcake liners

(I have 2 mini cupcake pans, and it worked out quite well. 1 pan will just take you a little longer.)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cut roll of dough in half, then in half again so you are working with 1/4 of the roll. Now, cut the 1/4 into thirds, and each third into 4 pieces. You'll end up with 12 pieces of dough, all about the same size that way. Put one piece of dough into each cupcake liner. Bake for 9 minutes. Take them out of the oven (leave in pan) and press in the center with the back of a 1/2 tsp. measuring spoon. Put them back in the oven for 2-3 more minutes. When they're done, put a Hershey's kiss in the center of each one and allow to cool. Wa-laah! I made these for my daughter's preschool Christmas program and they disappeared super quick! icon_smile.gif

We do something like this, only we use sugar dough instead of peanut butter and we use mini Reese's cups instead of the kisses. We usually roll the dough in a ball then drop in the mini cupcake pan (minus the liners) bake until they are golden brown. Take out of the oven and press the Reese's down into the center of them. Mmmm yummy!

We do do a peanut butter cookie with kisses, only it's a scratch (but super easy) recipe. Roll the dough in to balls, and roll into sugar. Bake up (they flatten out) and then press a kiss into the centers when they come out of the oven.

Ken,
I love that recipe for peanut butter cookies!!

I use Splenda instead of sugar and they're great!

People can't believe that they don't have flour in them.

I use that recipe too, got it from a school cook. They are really peanut buttery, and who doesn't have the ingredients on the shelf at any time.(like when a cookie craving hits a midnight LOL)

doesn't spread out any more than the storebought dough. Your question brings back memories. Back when my wife and I were dating I was at her house when the grandkids were there, I told them I would make some cookies. When Jane heard the ingredients she told me that when it ran all over her oven I would have to clean it. If you think about it, it has flour in it. Peanut butter is peanut flour and peanut oil. So when you get it all together you have the basic cookie recipe, flour, oil, egg and sugar.

Ken, that's funny. And, I see how you wow'd her. With food!! I bet she was really impressed.

BTW, congrats on the weight loss. That's just awesome!

I lost 90 lbs. Reached my goal in May and have maintained for 7 months.

Keep up the good work! You can do it!
