I'm sorry there was a post a while back that talked about completely smooth edges by freezing your buttercream and then applying it to the cake. I hope that makes since. Does anyone know where it is or how to do this.

no - but thanks for trying. Someone mentioned you can freeze your buttercream on wax paper and then apply it to the cake. (I think I saw it on a two tone forum. Oh well, thank you for trying.
