In a word, yes, but would I really recommend it, no. I've done it, several times and found it really is as easy to do it all by hand, and less mess. The biggest problem is blowing powdered sugar, and being careful to stop before it gets so thick the motor has to labor and get hot. My recommendation is do MMF by hand.

I start it in the KA and then when it starts to get too hard for the mixer to handle, I slap it on my marble slab to finish it off. I just do it so it is not so sticky on my hands.

I dont do it with the ka anymore either. I agree it is easier to get the right consistency when you are kneading it. Also I found all of my fondant would have little holes in it when I used the ka.

i have done this. i have a pro 600 and the bowl clips to the side arms and the back. well, once that stuff gets thick it jumps my bowl off the latch so i have to hold it on there. your ka can do it but the recommendation to start in the ka and finish by hand is a good one!

I do it in the KA. I just make sure to coat the bowl with shortening first.

I agree about adding shortening to the bowl of your KA first. I do all of mine in the KA with the dough hook.

I agree it is a lot easier to do it by hand. I use a metal spoon sprayed with Pam until it is thick enough to knead. I have a 5qt KA but I find it is too messy and doesn't mix very well.
Diane.
