I would use pound cake. If you do not want to make scratch Betty Crocker has a pound cake mix that is really dense. Also there is a recipe on the box of Duncan Hines classic yellow cake mix for pound cake. You add a box of vanilla pudding and an extra egg. I have also used this recipe and find it works great for stacked cakes. Also...another good idea is to use lots of dowel rods and then use a sharpened dowel rod down the center. This will help you transport the cake without any mishaps. Good luck! ![]()
