NO! -- don't mix with water....just add straight to BC (buttercream)
B U T
better to start w/ CHOCOLATE icing and make it black then try to turn white icing black.
often takes SO much coloring with white icing that it takes on a funny taste.
AND
imho-- AMERICOLOR is the best coloring to use.

and be prepared for how much black icing stains everything -- esp. teeth, tongues and mouths!
