Well, I just stack the 2 layers with filling in between. I would love to torte each layer, because I think it looks so nice when you slice into it and have the 3 layers of filling, but it just scares the crap out of me trying to imagine flipping that large of a cake on top of filling! I say a prayer as it is with just stacking the untorted layers--I find it quite unnerving! Anyway, you still end up with a nice tall cake.
Edited to add: 2 layers means 2 layers. Not one layer torted.
