I am at work and decorating my hubby's bday cake for tonight's surprise party! (I have such a cool boss! He is very supportive of my hobby-turning pro soon activity so long as I let him have goodies here.)

Anyway, it is dh's 49th. I have made a square cake and have a baseball theme going. I have put the diamond on it and have the grass piped already. I got ready to write on it and realized, all I can think of is Happy 49th Birthday!

Any ideas? I scanned the gallary, but only found numbers and names. DH hasn't played ball since highschool. He is crazy about the Cardinals, but I only could get green/yellow outfitted players...

"Sliding into another year" is the only thing I came up with that fits a baseball theme. If you have time or room on the cake, it might be cute to add a ball player figure made of fondant sliding in to home plate, with one arm reaching out touching the home plate, and have the number 49 on the home plate. Hope this helps.
