I am trying to figure out if a 16x16 cake will feed 100 people? It is for a Boy Scout banquet, and the servings would be small, but I just can't figure out if there will be enough. It will be 4 inches tall as well...that seems like A LOT of cake, but is it enough?

I just did cakes for a boyscout banquet too! Six 1/2 sheet pineapple upside down cakes to serve 125. I think thats kind of extreme though they wanted a whole pineapple ring size piece of cake to each person. My mom is kind of glutenous about the amount of food she gives to people.

Good luck with your cakes. thumbs_up.gif

Well, according to Wilton, a 2 layer 16" square cake yields 80 party servings or 128 wedding servings. Party slice=1 1/2 x 2" and wedding slice =1 x 2".

See I lost my sheet that came with the pans that told me servings yeilded etc. It also had how many boxes of cake mix to use, I don't suppose that info is handy? icon_rolleyes.gif

Each cake pan requires 15 1/2 cups of batter.
