Think they look good.
Try taking a photo of a top view so everyone can see how the rose opens up.

Very pretty! I tried doing them too and I put mine together the wrong way and I didn't realize til I was finished and showed hubby. He laughed at me, so in the garbage they went!

The roses are very pretty, just an observastion the wire needs to be bigger. A real rose stem is thicker than the leaf stem. JMHO and not to take away the roses are pretty. thumbs_up.gif

Where do you get thicker wire?

You can get them at any floral/craft store. I get mine at Hobby Lobby. A thicker gauge will also hold your roses up and not bend over (droop) and be more natural in apperance.

I think youir roses are lovely. If the stems aren't going to show, don't worry about what kind of wire you're using. You just need for it to be heavy enough to support the flower while you're working on it. Most of my roses don't have much of a stem at all, since they are used in bunched-together groups and garlands. I can't think of an instance where I've had the rose stem showing. Just sprigs of leaves sticking out around the roses here and there.

well, you really don't need thicker wire. I use 18 or 20 gauge wire for large roses to support the weight, but if I need to thicken the stem (of a rose or any flower) I take a pipe cleaner (or 2 or 3 or more) and tape onto the floral wire with floral tape. That way you still have the flexibility you want and it is easier to trim.
