Okay, I made a pretty big cakes this week and now I have some left overs and not sure how long they will last. icon_confused.gif

How long does MMF last? Is there a certain way to store it for it to keep longer?

I have never frozen cakes before but now I have 5 6" rounds that I am not ready to decorate yet. Can anyone tell me what is the best way to freeze these? How long should they last once I thaw them?

Any help is greatly appreciated!! icon_lol.gif

MMF needs to be wrapped in plastic wrap really tight and as long as its air tight it can last a long time...

and to freeze cakes i double wrap with plastic then aluminum foil and then a plastic bag

I freeze my cakes the exact way as Cakefairy described. I was SHOCKED when I tried my first frozens, then thawed and decorated cake--it really did taste just as good. I wouldn't have thought it possible, but that method works like a charm. Just make sure not to unwrap it before it's thawed.
