I do! I have started doing quite a bit of them.
I have done only one cake with an edible image...it was a bible cake that required quite a bit of writing for a child's confirmation in French and since I don't write well on cakes, I used an edible image. It turned out well in the end (much suffering during the making of it
)
I have to buy mine from the grocery store at $8/page so not too bad if I just want one once in a while.
Do you do your own?
I am just trying to get mine set up. I have everything to do it with but am having trouble inserting the ink in the printer.
I was buying mine also but often enough I decided to get my own stuff. If all else fails, I can always go to the grocery store to get a sheet printed but they dont always like my images because some can be copyrighted. I have one now I wanted to do for work tomorrow and it has a viking kitchen in it, they probably wont want to print for me.
I use an Epson. It was easy to set up. Maybe we can help you out.
I also have an Epson printer, and use Kopycake. It has to be a dedicated printer. I use edible images fairly often. It's well worth having your own printer, sheets, etc. I have to drive 30 miles to have one done. It's much more economical to have my own.
I finally set up my printer last week and made my first image. I got the ink and paper from icingimages.com. I have the Canon ip6000d printer and it takes 6 cartridges. I got the starter set with 6 inks, 6 cleaning cartridges and 3 different sets os paper. After I made the image I put the cleaner set into the printer. This way the ink wont get clogged . I also downloaded a program off line. I read it here on one of the posts. It was called edible artist.
