I just tried to use shimmer dust.......Wiltons.......the same way you would use luster dust and it didn't work. I am new to it so I didnt' know if it was just me or what but someone said on here that it can't be done. Believe me.....it made a mess of my cake! icon_sad.gif

No the wilton shimmer dust is not the same as luster dust. When I first saw it at the store, I bought some and tried it using lemon extract. It worked okay for one of my projects, but not very good. Luster dust is usually only available online and it is amazing! But if you don't have time to order any, just try the shimmer dust and see if it works. If you have an extra piece of fondant or something just try it on that first. Let me know how you do!
