I'm jumping in the water!!!! I'm making cake balls this weekend!!! YEAH!!!! icon_biggrin.gif Everyone talking about them...I've just got to try them!
But I was wondering, how long do these things last?? I've got a couple of different functions coming up and I was planning on making a tray with various things for each function. So I was going to make some cake balls and divide them up. Any ideas??

Good question. I've never made them either and was wanting to make them for a couple of occasions.

You can roll them into balls and put them into a freezer bag and store them that way. Just don't dip them into your chocolate until you are ready to use them - but that just takes minutes to do. Oh, and make sure that they are still frozen when you dip them in the chocolate - that sets up the chocolate really nicely. Then they last for 2 or 3 days after that before they really start getting mushy. Or you could keep them in the fridge and they would last longer.

I made some yesterday and plan on freezing them til Christmas. I put wax paper between them in a tupperware type container and then taped it shut and put it in a plastic bag. Mainly so I would not get into them before christmas. icon_smile.gif

Stogz - THAT is why you don't dip them until you are ready to eat them!!!!!! I find them too addictive. Just can't stay out of them. And haven't we all been guilty of eating frozen chocolate chip cookie dough straight from the freezer? Cake balls aren't that different. So DON'T dip until you absolutely have to.
