I have finally branched out into the fondant world!!! icon_razz.gif

I am making a Frosty for a reception that I'm doing Sunday night. I have the carrot nose, the coal eyes and buttons done. Pretty pleased with those. Of course, my hands are now a funny orange, red, purple and black color!!! icon_rolleyes.gif Now for Frosty's Arms. I'm not sure how to go about getting them done. Any ideas???

You could just just fondant for fondant with tylose and let them harden. You could use chocolate. You could use stryofoam and carve it. Skeweres covered or even shape tin foil and cover it.

gilson 6,
You could try pretzels, chocolate-covered or fondant covered. Pretzels kind of resemble sticks.

You could also pipe them out of chocolate colored candy melts.

Depends on what version of Frosty you're going for... If you're going with the standard snowman, then you're aiming for skinny branches and the above suggestions may work well. But if you're not, then you can do chunkier "snow" arms (like in the animated TV show) and make them out of marshmallows or simply pipe big ol' tubes of icing.

Traditional snowman with twig arms:

TV style chunky arms:

Thank you for everyone's help.

I'm going for the skinny arms. I think I'm going to try and pipe them with candy melts. I thought of using chocolate covered pretzels but the logs are too big and the smaller twigs are too small (gee, that sounds a little Godlilocks and the three bears). Chocolate piped ones would be just right!!! icon_biggrin.gif
