Has anyone ever added the coloring to the melted marshmallows before adding the powdered sugar, and if so how did it turn out??? icon_confused.gif

I apologize if this has already been posted and if it has please direct me to that thread. icon_smile.gif

If your whole batch is going to be the same color (or if you can use the main color as a base for any secondary colors) its easiest to add it before you add the sugar. The amount you use can be tricky, though. You want to add enough to get the color you want (it will lighten when you add the sugar) too much will make it sticky and you'll need extra sugar.

That is way easier than trying to knead it in after...and MMF is so cheap u can make one batch for every colour u need and save it and use it as you need it...

Gosh, I should have asked this last night. I still have kneading on my batch of colored MMF. That would have been so much easier.

Everyone here is so great about giving good advice.

You can either double bag it or bag it and store in an airtight container. Don't refrigerate or freeze fondant. The condensation when it warms up again will make it soggy.
