Cake Flour Used For Cookies?

I have to make chocolate cookies and I am out of all purpose flour can I use cake flour instead?

According to ochef.com (my go-to site for all questions cooking related-after CC of course) cake flour will keep your cookies from spreading as much as they will with AP flour, so if you're counting on them spreading, you may want to flatten them a bit when you but them on the pan.

They'll also probably have a different texture, more tender with a finer crumb.
