I must admit, I feel like a faker! 
I haven't been doing cakes very long and I'm self taught. I am no good at the 'traditional' techniques, I can't do borders or flowers...but I have fun doing what I do. I'm totally intimidated by the amazing talent on this site.
That said, I have to say THANK YOU! to all of you who leave the fantastic comments on my pics, add me to your favorites, or ask me about my techniques. It is a HUGE compliment and it really makes my day! Thanks to all of you for being my inspiration to keep working and (hopefully) improving!! 
I have to totally agree with your statement ! At first when I signed up for this site I never came back until I really got into cakes. I can't stay away from here I get so much great advice and tips and whatnot here. I don't know what I would do without this site and the people that come here and share cake talk!
Isn't the support great? I would have stopped cakes probably a month or so into it if it weren't from all the nince comments and support I've gotten from all my CC buddies. My SO is supportive now that I've gotten better, but I think he kind of thought it was a waste of my time at the beginning, even though I was loving it. Glad he's behind me now, but even more happy that I have all of you CCers to cheer me on!
