Just wanted to say hello and I love this web site. I am new here and have been logging on everyday to look at your beautiful cakes and trying to get lots of tips. I have always loved cake decorating. My aunt was a decorator and I loved watching her. It is just recently that I have really become interested in decorating myself. Take a look at some of my cakes, (will put more on later) and tell me what you think. This is only a hobbie for me. I have made several character pans for my kids and friends. Just now starting to try and put some cake of my own together!

Welcome!! I too am still rather new at this, but it is really fun to do! I got the cake decorating fever after watching some cake challenges on Food Network. I made the comment that I wished I could do that to my mom, and she said so why don't you!!! I've been enjoying it ever since! You're right this is a great site to learn many things!

Thank you to all of you for your nice comments. This I can tell will be a fun hobby for me. I am a stay at home mom but, with 3 kids ages 18, 13, and 4 I stay so busy. My husband is very supportive of anything I try and he loves cake so he is really up for this hobby!

Just wait....you think DH likes cake now!!! lol Mine I knew "liked" cake....now he gets home from work and is like " Uh.....WHERE'S THE CAKE!!!????" LOL I never knew how much he LOVED it! And just wait and see how much better you get and how quickly because of all the helpful CC family!!!!!
