For a fundraiser you can ask for more money. I'd put a pretty ribbon on them and sell 3 for $5. The customers will know you're trying to raise money for a trip and shouldn't balk at the price.

I have a question about melting the caramel for the turtle pretzels. Do you add anything like water to the caramel cubes to help thin it? Maybe this has already been answered..I'll go back and re-read the post but just any advice will be appreciated.

texastwinkie, I ask that same question the other day and my answer was butter, evaporated milk, or kayro syrup. I have tried all three and if you go lightly with the Kayro I think it is best. I have made 4 batches of these now and they are a big hit!

I use milk or, if I have some, cream to thin my down.
