I am wondering if someone could help me, I want to make some signs in fondant for a cake that i am doing and i want to write on it with a chocolate decorator pen - you know the ones where you melt the liquid inside the tube to soften it and then use it - I am wondering if i can use that to write on the fondant, or will it soften the fondant?

why roll out some fondant, cut out some squares or circles, let it set for a bit, and then try. no advice is better than experimenting, sometimes.

Where do you get such a pen?

I guess you would just have to experiment and see. I am sure it would probably work unless your chocolate was really hot.
