Help Please-Coconut Cakes

I need help on what I could put on top of a coconut help to decorate it besides coconut. This is for my boss's wifes birthday. Very important. Thanks for any help you can suggest.

Debbie, tell me about the cake. I assume from your post that it is a coconut cake, perhaps with coconut pressed into the icing? How about a spray of roses or other flowers?

What does she like?

Roses? Real Flowers? Something Hawaiian? Her initials in chocolate and let them stand up?

How about chocolate leaves around the base and in a circle on the top and use 3 kumquats to nest in the middle on top and just place a few around the base nestled in the chocoleaves....

Cover with crushed Almonds or Dates.
OR drizzle some caramel or sweetened condensed Milk.
