What is the most basic size of sheet cake used or most popular I guess I should say?
Is it a half sheet? and what are the measurements?
TIA
You know, I would like to know the answer to that question as well. Maybe some of the professional's on here (those who actually work in a bakery) can tell us their standard 1/4 sheet, 1/2 sheet, and full sheet sizes.
The sheet pans I have are 11x15 in and a 12x18 in!!!
Amy
Sheet size vs size can vary depending on who you ask.
What I have heard is
1/4 sheet = 13x9
1/3 sheet = 11x15
1/2 sheet = 12x18
I deal more in sizes than sheets.
I'm about the same as previous posts
1/4 sheet 9" x 13"
1/3 sheet 11" x 15"
1/2 sheet 12" x 18"
full sheet 2 12" x 18" cakes slightly cut down to 16"
I also have a pan that is 14" x 22"
My most popular size sold is the 1/2 sheet.
what do you all mean by 1/4 sheet and 1/2 sheet, etc....I dont understand, can someone please clarify. thanks
My 1/4 sheet is 9X13 and my half sheet is exactly doubled (just barely fits in my oven!) I always wondered, though, about the full sheet. Is it really 2 half sheets? That seems like an AWFULLY long cake!
Oh, and booberfrog - I noticed that you are also from Oklahoma. Where exactly? And we have birthdays just one day apart - mine is the 19th of April (1967). Pretty cool!!!!
I'm in Ponca City, only about an hour and a half north of you ![]()
Booberfrog - my husband is in Ponca City from time to time on business. Funny how you think that most of us are so far apart (mile wise) and then you find someone in very close proximity!
