He's not excited over getting anything really...so I cant be excited yet either. For my husband camoflauge sheets for him to take on his 4 Month TDY (he'll get a big kick out of that)

Hey! I got on board a little late...just now saw this post and was reading it. I had to answer this:

1- (well intentioned but ugly and useless nonetheless) my EX-sister in law decided to buy me something spiritual so she gave me what appeared to be a 3-d plate of Jesus' hands coming out of it and an endless table that stretched on and on into the background - the only problem was that Jesus' hands were painted silver! Every time I looked at it, I could only think of the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz! The father of the family I was renting a room from at the time decided it would look better if he painted the hands a flesh color so he did!
2- A huge fake gold and ruby ring my sister gave me.
3- I didn't have a yard of my own but my EX-sister in law gave me another set of Jesus' hands - praying this time - coming up out of a bird bath for the yard.
4- My husband's aunt gave me a finger watch and tube of chap stick- any of you ever seen these?
5- She also gave me a pair of gloves that happened to end up being too small for her own hands...hmmmmm!

sorry fytar...with everything else going on w/my family right now....need something that makes me smile...not want to run to bathroom!! icon_smile.gif

5 great things about my wedding...

1. My dad.......washed, brushed, AND cut his hair and trimmed his mustache!!! (He doesn't have the best grooming habits) ...hey that is something gross too!!

2. We were married on the beach and it didn't rain!!

3. Our ceremony was only 15 min long and the bar was opened 30 min before the wedding!! (we had a very informal wedding.....no stress...all fun!!!)

4. My wedding cake, it wasn't a traditional tiered wedding cake! We did tiered Cake Slices...w/seashells and ribbon roses. I didn't make it, but I loved it and it tasted good.

5. My guest book.....instead of everyone just signing their name in a book, everyone took pictures of themselves w/polarid cameras and gave us their best 'marriage' advice. My friends and I made a scrapbook and left spaces for people to put their pictures in at the reception. I still love pulling it out and reading through some of the Good and useless advice we were given!!

i would love to say my wedding dress b/c I LOVED it.....but the palce that was suppose to hem it for me....did a crappy job and my dress was 5in too long on me (LONG STORY)!!! And since it was at the beach...I didn't have shoes!! It looked awful!!

I'm from the old school and trully remember the finger watches...they were the bomb thumbs_up.gif

If you were lucky to get one, you kept your hand stuck out all day wanting people to see your lovely creation.

Wear your finger watch with pride icon_lol.gif

Five things you miss about high school

1. No responsibilities
2. Playing softball
3. Sneaking from school @ lunch time to walk around the corner to the drug store for their tuna fish sandwiches...they were the best thumbs_up.gif
4. Just hanging out with friends

Five things that drive you crazy

fytar Cake Central Cake Decorator Profile
fytar Posted 22 Dec 2005 , 2:03pm

Stephanie, Old School?! - I got the finger watch last year!

5 things that drive me crazy...hmmm...

1) People driving slower in the far left lane than either of the lanes to their right!
2) Tailgating. Not so much that they are close to me but the ones that are so close to my bumper that I can only see the windshield and none of the front of their vehicle - especially at night when they're so close you can't even see their headlights!
3) People that think they are moving along at a reasonable rate in the passing lane yet they aren't passing anyone - just kinda riding along at the back bumper of the person beside them!
4) When my boss tells me he can't find a file and it's on his desk.
5) When my boss tries to file something back in its folder and he isn't even in the right drawer!!

Can you tell I just got through rush hour traffic?! But, to be honest, I wouldn't trade my boss for anyone else - he really is the best boss anyone would be privileged to have.

Back to the Mother In Law question...I really love my MIL! We almost got into a fight the night I got married because she was being a (not so nice word), but since having her in my life the past 4 years, I can honestly say I truly enjoy being around her and with her. My own mother is a different story though. I love her as well, just can't get along with her without trying really really hard.

Since noone wants to name 5 gross habits, how about

5 things you would NOT change about yourself

Stephanie, how did Barbie fare this time with the beautician?

You know, there is no tellin how my dh's aunt found those watch rings. She gave away more than one so somebody supply'in them still! Somebody lost in a time warp it sounds like!

She did good this year - she gave me MONEY!!! Oh, and slippers. Slippers are great too, but MONEY...now that makes me happy!

Oh, and I got a new digital camera for Christmas! I've been taking pictures of everything - just because I can!! My other camera was a cheapy and wouldn't take very good pictures unless you are outside in broad daylight. Now I can take pics with the lights off!! Woooooo, I'm so ready to take a picture of a cake - I don't have any to bake right now and I'm getting antsy!!

I did a Christmas Barbie and I must say that this is the best Barbie cake that I've done so far.

Can't wait to post picture...trying to make up my mind about entering her in the contest.

So happy for you getting a new camera and money. I didn't get my edible image...guess I was a bad little girl icon_cry.gif
