Major brain dead moment here, I've been asked to make a stacked cake with these "thingys" as she called it shooting out of the cake. They look like they are on bendable wire, plastic tops...and for the life of me I can't remember the actual name of these. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

If I am not mistaken they are called "Sprays" but I maybe mistaken. I also think that the wire is 18 gage wire. Hope that helps you.
