i just did 2 doz buttercream roses 2 days ago, when i felt them on top they are drying, not fully but they are. but when i pulled off the wax paper from under they were still wet (as in not set at all) so then i took them off the wax paper and put them back on the rack to dry more but now i'm think what if they get suck to the rack cause of it still being wet under. how long does buttercream roses take to dry......thanks for reading

From my experience, they really don't dry like royal icing roses. They will remain soft underneath. You can slip the tip of a pair of scissors between the rose and the wax paper and then place the rose directly onto the cake with the tip of the scissors. At least that is how I was taught to do it.

They will crust over in about 20 min. but the centers will always remain soft. If you want really hard roses, you should use royal icing.

...since BC Roses are just BC icing, they never really "dry". You may try putting them in the freezer..it makes them a little easier to handle!
