I am just double triple checking...I am doing this baby shower cake for this weekend and I plan on using cream cheese icing as filling for one of the cakes covered by mmf. I think there is enough sugar in the icing to make it stable for awhile, but I havent really gotten definitive answer on whether or not to fridge the cream cheese icing, so I think I will just do it. So I dont have a lot of experience putting mmf in fridge, but from what you all say it should be okay...right? Will the fondant/gumpaste figures be okay also?

I never refrigerate my fondant cakes.Never used MMF. As for the figurines, there is no need to refrigerate them.

I have been told that sugarpaste should not go in the fridge as it will become sticky or even wet. Can you add these pieces at the last minute?

Well I know I dont need to refridgerate the figures but if they are on the cake already....

I know that a lot of people say not to refrigerate the fondant, but so many have said it should be fine. I never have, except for a tester piece I did last week that seemed fine.
