Need An Easy Idea For Pirates And Princesses Theme

I have an order for a birthday cake with pirates and princesses theme. I can make the pirate ship but am at a loss as to how to incorporate the princess theme. No sculpting for me since I have problems with proportions-any ideas? icon_confused.gif

Here are some ideas....
1. Ship with the princess walking the plank
2. Pirates trunk full of princess's jewels
3. Do the pirate using the mini teddy bear pan & a princess doll cake using the wonder mold ( 2 smaller cakes)

How about making a ship like MommyEdwardz, and make a small castle cake behind it. Make it look like the pirates are storming the castle? Or just like they're going there. Make some water and a beach in between the ship and the castle?

YOu could also have few princesses captive on the ship. Maybe one walking the plank and have another one somewhere on the ship

I think if you can make a ship then you could put a princess cake kit on top of it. They have the kits at most grocery store bakeries for around 4.00. Maybe you could incorporate some gold chocolate coins and some princess beads. icon_smile.gif

How about a Mermaid princess?? You could do a large sheet cake as the ocean, a small pirate ship, and a small island (mini-wonder mold) with a mermaid princess on top, sunning herself.
This is the EXACT dilemna I have been in with my kids' upcoming combined party!! LOL I'm anxious to see what you do! icon_smile.gif

I think you should have the princesses taking over the ship...having those grimy pirates tied up and walking the plank!!!
