What is the best way to cream crisco-I only have handheld mixer....???

ooh...you need to keep mixer on for 2-3 minutes. That's my best guess since its been so long since I used a hand mixer. Cream it on low speed.

I am assuming you are using solid crisco, not crisco oil, correct? Since solid is already creamy your electric hand mixer will work fine to fluff and soften the crisco up. Are you making a frosting and beating sugars, liquids, etc.... into it?

yes, I am making the standard Wilton class frosting-I add 1lb of confectioner sugar to it. Thanks for the help as last class, I forgot to cream the crisco-needless to say I busted a few decorating bags-live and learn I guess....

How stiff was the frosting? You probably need more water........
