I have a big order to do but have some questions on some specific things they want that I've not done before.

she wants the writing in silver icing (would mixing luster dust with clear gel work?)

gold stars--but not fondant (and these are on the sides of the cake)

this is to be "elegant", so I don't just want to pipe the stars if I can help it. I also think she'd be ok it I said I recommended fondant as the best way to go for the stars (if it is!) would I do white painted with gold dust?

what would you use for these? thanks!!!

i think that the silver would need to be painted on the writing.. like maybe do the writing in royal then pain. or fondant and paint

i would also tell her about fondant stars

i agree to try and paint the luster dust on the writing. and really i don't see how you can get stars that look even and precise without using fondant. i think RI or BC would just look kinda "homemade" if ya know what i mean! icon_wink.gif
