If I am making a figure that will be lying on a cake supine out of gumpaste, does it necessarily have to dry beforehand? I am doing a cake for tomorrow that has a person lying on the ground, and I want to attempt to figure-pipe him (have never figure-piped), but if it doesn't look right I was just going to make him out of gumpaste. I know that if it was sitting he would need to dry a long time beforehand.

No..it doesn't have to be completely dry first...just dry enough to be able to move it from the counter to the cake!
